On the road again!!

Hello faithful followers of The Nelson Family Blog!! So it has been awhile since we have updated this thing, but I assure you it is with good reason. We are finally settled in our new home located in Pearl City, Hawaii on the island of Oahu! Needless to say we love it here and are having tons of fun and making great new friends! However, much has happened since we left good ol' Quantico, VA. So here is a little picture montage of how our jaunt across the country went to include all of Parker's birthday parties, time with family, and road trip fun!

Our first stop.....
Birthday party at Grammy and Papa's house in West Virginia!
Special Agent OSO cake!!!
We went to see Papa Phil's old cars and had a great time!
Then we were off!!!

Aiden could not get close enough to his daddy in the front seat!
Carter was relaxing!
And this guy was an angel! We could not asked for a better traveler.

We got to go play at Auntie Nicole's school and Parker had so much fun!
We got to see baby Henry for the first time and ...
Parker got to hang out with Aunt Darian, who is absolutely loves!
Of course he had another birthday party in Missouri thanks to his NaNa, this time it was a Toy Story theme.
Buss Lightyear even showed up! John came dressed as Buzz and Parker could not believe it!

It was an awesome visit, and then we were off AGAIN!

Finally, Parker's birthday parties ended with one last party at PaPa and Grandma's house in California and clearly this was a Mickey Mouse themed party!
He loved everyone singing Happy Birthday to him!!!

Then we were off one last time, to Anaheim, California to visit the mouse!! Disneyland here we come!!!
Parker helped PaPa prepare for the trip by calling others on the CB and PaPa put in directions!

We went to Rainforest Cafe the first night we were there to celebrate once again Parker turning 2!!
DISNEYLAND!!!!
Grandma and Parker on the Buzz Lightyear ride!

It was a long day so in the middle Parker took a nap on Daddy's head!

Parker got to wear an awesome birthday pin so everyone knew it was his special day!!!
One more family ride before we went home!

He was just beat!!
Then it was time to board the plane to paradise!!!

Horseback Riding!

So Parker is a regular cowboy! Today we went to the stables here on base with our new friend Cherie who owns a beautiful horse named Silky. We met Cherie a couple of days ago when we were driving through the stables looking at the horses. She offered to let Parker and I ride her horse if we were interested and we totally were!! So today we put on our boots and had an amazing time!

Parker was in charge of the hook to clean Silky's hooves! That's Parker waiting for his ride...the horse in the background is Finn
That's Cherie and Parker riding Silky, she is 16 and 1/2 hands tall!! Parker wasn't scared a bit!

Look at Parker, he took the reigns!

Then he wanted mommy to ride, so I hopped on and we took a lil stroll around the arena! We are for sure going to go riding again really soon!!!

Happy Easter!

What a wonderful Easter we Nelson's had!! Unfortunately we were not able to be with family but we were grateful to be with each other this year as our own little family! We went to an Easter Egg Hunt and Parker had so much fun...

Then we were off to church!!

NYC Baby!!!

Well actually, the trip started in New Jersey! Where I was schooled on how to truly order a Philly cheese steak.... ...at the famous Pat's Steaks!!
Then I was schooled by Meghan on how to eat a Philly cheese steak!!!

The next day, we caught the train to NYC!!!

And we saw it all, more things than I could post!!! Here are just a few pictures of our awesome weekend!!!

Our weekend ended with a short train ride across the water to Hoboken, NJ...home of The Boss....that's right The Cake Boss!!! I love this show and was so stoked to go there and see it for real!!!! Thanks Meggie for the awesome weekend!!!

Papa and Grandma Came to Visit...

....and it was AWESOME! They brought Parker a T-Ball set! So Parker took a swing (sorry could not resist it) at it...then got a lil advice from Papa about his swing...
Grandma and Parker watched the trains....

We spent the day in DC and had a blast...after we quenched our thirst...

We took pictures with our birth state at the World War II Memorial...can you say GEEKS?!

Parker was born in Virginia not Daddy...

Oh,..well we will be moving to Hawaii in a few short weeks so we decided to take a family photo of this one!!!

Ahhh Daddy's state...

We dyed Easter Eggs!

Papa tried to help us with stickers...but they weren't actually stickers...won't tell you how long it took us to figure that out!!!

We found Easter Eggs!!

After we found eggs, Parker put the money he found in his eggs in his piggy bank...

Finally, we went for a scooter ride....thanks for a great visit Grandma and Papa!! We love you and can't wait to see you next month when we take on Disneyland!!!
