Horseback Riding!

So Parker is a regular cowboy! Today we went to the stables here on base with our new friend Cherie who owns a beautiful horse named Silky. We met Cherie a couple of days ago when we were driving through the stables looking at the horses. She offered to let Parker and I ride her horse if we were interested and we totally were!! So today we put on our boots and had an amazing time!

Parker was in charge of the hook to clean Silky's hooves! That's Parker waiting for his ride...the horse in the background is Finn
That's Cherie and Parker riding Silky, she is 16 and 1/2 hands tall!! Parker wasn't scared a bit!

Look at Parker, he took the reigns!

Then he wanted mommy to ride, so I hopped on and we took a lil stroll around the arena! We are for sure going to go riding again really soon!!!

Happy Easter!

What a wonderful Easter we Nelson's had!! Unfortunately we were not able to be with family but we were grateful to be with each other this year as our own little family! We went to an Easter Egg Hunt and Parker had so much fun...

Then we were off to church!!

NYC Baby!!!

Well actually, the trip started in New Jersey! Where I was schooled on how to truly order a Philly cheese steak.... ...at the famous Pat's Steaks!!
Then I was schooled by Meghan on how to eat a Philly cheese steak!!!

The next day, we caught the train to NYC!!!

And we saw it all, more things than I could post!!! Here are just a few pictures of our awesome weekend!!!

Our weekend ended with a short train ride across the water to Hoboken, NJ...home of The Boss....that's right The Cake Boss!!! I love this show and was so stoked to go there and see it for real!!!! Thanks Meggie for the awesome weekend!!!

Papa and Grandma Came to Visit...

....and it was AWESOME! They brought Parker a T-Ball set! So Parker took a swing (sorry could not resist it) at it...then got a lil advice from Papa about his swing...
Grandma and Parker watched the trains....

We spent the day in DC and had a blast...after we quenched our thirst...

We took pictures with our birth state at the World War II Memorial...can you say GEEKS?!

Parker was born in Virginia not Daddy...

Oh,..well we will be moving to Hawaii in a few short weeks so we decided to take a family photo of this one!!!

Ahhh Daddy's state...

We dyed Easter Eggs!

Papa tried to help us with stickers...but they weren't actually stickers...won't tell you how long it took us to figure that out!!!

We found Easter Eggs!!

After we found eggs, Parker put the money he found in his eggs in his piggy bank...

Finally, we went for a scooter ride....thanks for a great visit Grandma and Papa!! We love you and can't wait to see you next month when we take on Disneyland!!!
